DAUNTING DECISIONS

If you listened to me and sat Marc Bulger last week, you are probably not even reading this right now because you are out of the playoffs. However, in all fairness, if you went against my advice and felt that Marc Bukger was a good decision against the Bears, you are either a psychic or an individual who needs his head examined. This is most likely the biggest week of the season for you because a win in most leagues means a share of the money. Go with the best matchups and ride what got you here.

Jamal Lewis- The Browns have been absoluetely chewed up on the ground lately, and if you don't believe me, ask Willie Parker owners. Anyone who is an NFL fan knows that the Browns bring out the best in Jamal Lewis who has just shred their rush defense apart the last few years. With a Baltimore offense playing better than it has all year, Lewis should have a very nice day as the Ravens try to lock up the division. START.

Fred Taylor- Some owners may fear that because of his hamstring injury Taylor will either miss the game or get a lightened work load with Maurice Jones-Drew breathing down his neck. However, it looks like Taylor will not only start but also get his normal workload. Therefore, Taylor's a terrific start against the weak rush defense of the Titans. Expect around 15 carries, 80 yards, and a TD. Those are definately numbers worth starting. START.

Tony Romo- After a couple average games at QB, some overreacting TV networks are starting to question if Romo is going downhill. Like the players do, it'd almost be best to not play attention to the media during playoff time. Romo has played well, but has had issues with his receivers holding onto the ball and issues from playing 30 points behind. Atlanta has the second worst pass defense in all of football so a bounce back game is very likely. He's a must start this week. START.

Mike Furrey- With virtually no running game, the chances of Detroit throwing almost every play against the awful Packers pass defense is highly likely. Most of the attention will be paid to Roy Williams, which means WR Mike Furrey should have a decent day facing a lot of single coverage by bad corners. A day with 80 yards receiving and a TD is not unreasonable at all to expect. START.

Jerrico Cotchery- Another WR that should have a good day is the surprising player from the Jets, Jerrico Cotchery. He's quitely had a very solid season as he has amassed 802 yards and 5 TDs. At this point in his career, he's one of the better #2 WRs in all of football. The Jets take on the Vikings, and it is a well known fact that the Vikings shut down running backs and force teams to throw all day. Cotchery should get plenty of looks in a must win for both teams. START.

Travis Henry- Lost in the Titans ascension back to football relevance fueled by Vince Young has been the stellar play of Travis Henry. He is giving the Titans every reason to hold off on making LenDale White the starter next season. Despite his great season, Henry faces a Jaguars defense that has been stout against the run all season. Also, Henry is recovering from an ankle injury so his productivity may be limited. It'd be wise to hold off on using him this week. SIT.

DeShaun Foster- Last week against the Giants the Panthers seemed disinterested in using the run at all as they thre 61 times with Chris Weinke. While they will probably make a greater effort to get Foster involved early, the Steelers tough rush defense may force the Panthers to once again go back to the air. If Foster isn't productive early, it will most likely be a long day again. There are much better options this week. SIT.

Lee Evans- The biggest hit and miss player in the NFL right now may just be Lee Evans. All of his yards seems to come on bombs down field from JP Losman. A typical day for him could be 2 catches for 120 yards and a TD. This week it will be harder for him to get open as he takes on a Miami defense that has completely taken away the pass of late, just ask Tom Brady. It would be hard to see Evans eluding the defense this week for one his classic deep routes. SIT.

Santana Moss- The best WR on the Redskins has had two big days all year and both have come at home. This week the Redskins travel to New Orleans where they will face a physical ball hawking defense. The Saints have been able to harass QBs and get in WRs faces, so the chances that both Jason Campbell will have time to throw and that Santana Moss can get open are not good. Expect another down day in a disappointing year for Moss. SIT.

Trent Green- After coming back from a gruesome injury, Green has played pretty well despite his team's struggles. The Chiefs face a must win this week, but that gives the Chargers even more motivation to finish their rival off. They have been doing a great job getting pressure on QBs and shutting down WRs lately. The passing game for the Chiefs will struggle, and the only way they may be able to survive is by a monster performance from Larry Johnson. SIT.
