QUICK RECAP AND Q&A

This may come as a major shock to you, but there was actually an NFL game last night between the Bengals and Ravens. Why this may come as a surprise is that unless you own the NFL Network and your cable network isn't a bunch of cheap old men, you weren't able to watch the game. Here's a quick rundown of some impact players in the game.

Derek Mason- If you played Mason, it was a great decision because he had one of his best days of the season with 90 yards receiving and a TD. It was one of those unnecessary late TDs that are meaningless in the game and only make fantasy owners happy. Mason has been largely disappointing all season and is probably the second best WR on his team behind Mark Clayton these days. Mason faces Kansas City, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh the rest of the way so if you played him as a 3rd WR, it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Jamal Lewis- It's rare that some one peaks at age 24, but that's exactly what Jamal Lewis did in his career. In one of the more puzzling mysteries in sports, Lewis has gotten worse and worse every year since his 2000 yard season. He may crack 1000 yards this season with a strong finish, but regardless it was another disappointment for Lewis. It wouldn't be a shock to see him somewhere else next season.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh- After being quiet for most of Chad Johnson's re-emergence as an elite WR, Hoshmandzadeh had his best game of the year with 10 catches for 106 yards and a TD. Despite missing the first two games of the season, Houshmnadzadeh needs just 224 yards in his final four games to have his first 1000 yard season. He has already tied a career high in TDs and become the best #2 WR in football not named Reggie Wayne.

Carson Palmer- Typically the Ravens do a good job against Palmer, but last night Carson did enough to win the game and limited his mistakes. He finished 21 for 32 with 234 yards a TD. In the process, Palmer topped 3000 yards passing for the second straight season. Since Palmer was coming off major knee surgery, he probably won't be 100% and comfortable till next season, but he has done a very nice job this season despite certain restrictions.

Now for some Q&A

Q: Should I start Tony Romo or Rex Grossman on Sunday?

A: As I said earlier in the week, I feel that Grossman will have a pretty solid bounce back game against Minnesota because that seems to be his pattern so far in his NFL career. However, Tony Romo is a much safer bet against the Giants defense. The only concern here is that the Giants were the only team this season that was able to get pressure on Romo and rattle him. Either way, Romo is much more likely to throw a few scores and have a better day than Grossman.

Q: I'm desperate at QB, and my best option this week is Jason Campbell. Should I play him against Atlanta?

A: If Campbell truly is your best option behind center, he will most likely do a solid job against the Falcons. Atlanta has had a lot of difficulty defending the deep ball which means Washington should look to throw deep. The addition of a healthy Santana Moss should also help his cause. Expect about 200 yards passing with 1-2 TDs this week.
