Stock Watch "The Fall of a King"

In my Stock Watch Column, I will advise you on what players are going to start heating up, and what players are going to start cooling down. In trading, it's all about timing. Recently in my Yahoo! fantasy hoops league I was able to deal Kevin Martin, Okur, and Iguodala, for Rashard Lewis, Josh Smith, and TJ Ford. Some might argue that Rashard Lewis is a sell high candidate, but I think he is going to play like this all year.

Buy Low

Guards

Josh Smith

Josh Smith is the definition of buy low right now. But after a few solid games, owners might not want to part ways with him. This guy is ready to explode. His percentages are steadily improving and his blocks are going to be very beneficial to any owner, especially if you play him at SG.

Gerald Wallace

You should be able to acquire Wallace for a small price and considering Wallace owners are very frustrated right now, I'm sure they are looking to deal him. He is already starting to improve so if you want him you better offer up some trades before its too late.

Forwards

Richard Jefferson

After missing much of the season so far, his stats don't look great and his ranking is obviously not high (in the 200's in yahoo! rankings), but he has played well since returning and could end up averaging around 18, 6, and 3.

Centers

Ben Wallace

It may be too late to buy low as he has been producing in blk and stl but if a Big Ben owner is frustrated with his decreased rebounding and his atrocious FT% you might be able to steal this guy away.

Andrew Bogut

He hasn't been playing very badly, but I think he will improve his scoring, rebounding, and assists as the season goes on.

Sell High

Guards

Monta Ellis

I love Monta Ellis. He has really helped out my fantasy team this year, and I have been a Monta fan since he was drafted before last season. I think he will continue to produce, unless Baron Davis and Jason Richardson are both healthy at the same time. Who knows if that will ever happen, but if it does, Monta could be in trouble. I'm not necissarily telling you to sell this guy yet, but if someone makes a good offer, or if you can deal him for a legitamate stud, go for it.

Kevin Martin
You had to have known that he wasn't going to be so good all season long. With teams now starting to respect his game and plan against him, Martin has scored under 20 in 4 of his last 5 games. You must dump this guy imidiately before his value drops too low. Maybe wait for him to have one more good game and then trade him for a legitamite player.

Forwards

Andre Iguodala
Iguodala has had a very productive year so far. Mostly because Chris Webber was hurt. With Webber back, Iguodala's rebounding will decrease dramatically. He has also begun playing PG which will reduce his scoring. He will start all year, but his production will not continue as it has so far. Deal this guy while he still has such high value.

Zach Randolph

Randolph has been one of the biggest surprises in the NBA this year and I'm not telling you that his value is going to drop. But with his injury history, it is possible. What I'm telling you here is that if you can use Randolph to trade for a Garnett or Brand type, you would be better off in the long run.

Centers

Andris Biedrins

Biedrins has logged two consecutive stinkers. If he is no longer producing in reb and blk, then his 50% FT shooting is not worth keeping on your team.
