Waiver Wire "You gotta get Head"

While teams start to really get a feel for who is getting the playing time, it becomes harder to find guys on your waiver wire that can be useful on your team as many of them have been snatched up by now. However, Big Mel will not let you down. Here are some diamonds in the rough that may pan out this season.

Atlanta Hawks
Tyronn Lue
If this guy is on your free agent list and you need a PG go pick him up. He could be and should soon be the Hawks starting PG.

Boston Celtics
Al Jefferson
Seems to be regaining confidence and PT coming back from his injury. Could take his starting job back from Ryan Gomes sometime in the next month. Jefferson could be a good source of rebounds.

Charlotte Bobcats
Sean May
May probably isn't on your free agent list, but if he is, grab him.

Cleveland Cavaliers
Damon Jones
Again, this guy shouldn't be available, but if he is snatch him up if you need 3's

Dallas Mavericks
Eric Dampier
He has established himself as a true rebounding threat.

Golden State Warriors
Matt Barnes
This guy is a popular pickup right now, but with so many options in GS I don't really see any value in Barnes.

Houston Rockets
Luther Head
This guy has been unconscious from 3 averaging 2.3 per game. I picked him up in my league yesterday and I suggest you do the same if you are in need of threes. The only bad news is he can't contribute in many other categories.

Indiana Pacers
Jeff Foster
Foster is the starting C now so he should be good for about 9-10 boards a night, so act accordingly if you need that.

Memphis Grizzlies
Rudy Gay
Gay was named western conference rookie of the month. With continued playing time he will only get better, but Gasol should be back around Dec 23rd and we'll see how that affects Gay's PT.

Milwaukee Bucks
Charlie Bell
He could have value in leagues with 12 teams or more, but remember Villanueva will be back in a week or two.

New Jersey Nets
Marcus Williams
Marcus Williams could be a serviceable player in deep leagues. He could also be considered as a handcuff to J Kidd even in shallow leagues. This guy is gonna be a special player for the Nets in the future.

New York Knicks
Renaldo Balkman has been getting some playing time......whatever.

Orlando Magic
Darko Milicic
Pick him up if you need blocks.

San Antonio Spurs
Brent Barry is that guy that you always want to pick up, but you're never sure if he's gonna get consistent playing time. Right now he is a great source of 3's and FT%, but I'm still not sure about his PT.

Seattle SuperSonics
Nick Collison
Now the starter in Seattle and showed why going for 21 and 8 in his first start of the season. Run to your league site and pick this guy up!!!
